Humberto Flores holds a Master’s degree in classical guitar from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan, Italy. Native of Fortín de las Flores in Veracruz, Mexico Humberto Flores is one of most accomplished Mexican musicians of his generation, having performed at prestigious venues around the world including; Carnegie Hall, The Rudolphinum in Czech Republic, Sala Verdi in Milan, Hermitage Museum, Peterhof Palace in Russia, Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Center, 92Y, The Apollo Theater, The Ford Theater in Los Angeles, San Jose JazzFest in California, The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, The Mexican Embassy in Moscow, Overture Performing Arts Center in Madison, The Egg Performance Center in Albany, Massey Hall in Toronto, Capilano University in Vancouver, Alcheringa Festival in the Republic of India, Cumbre Tajín and the 66th FIFA Congress in Mexico City, among others.

Humberto Flores has forged his career as a musician, arranger and composer being part of important ensembles such as: Xalapa Guitar Orchestra in Mexico, Hexacord Ensemble in Italy, Ensemble Madrigal (1st Prize in the National Guitar Ensemble Competition in Mexico City), Piazzolla Quintet in Milan , Paax Guitar Trio, and he is currently Artistic Director of the acclaimed Villalobos Brothers ensemble having taken his music to more than 30 states in the United States, Canada, Portugal, Mexico, Russia and India. Humberto Flores have developed artistic residences with The Sembrich Opera Museum, Lincoln Center Educational, The New York Botanical Garden, 92ndY, Latino Arts in Milwaukee, Elgin Community College in Illinois, The National Council for Culture and the Arts and the Veracruz University in Mexico, among others.
He has earned several awards such as the "EURO-LATINO PRIZE” presented by The International Solidarity Foundation and the Comune di Milano, in Italy, for his musical contributions representing Mexico and Latin-American culture during his stay in Europe, ”CITIZEN MERIT AWARD" granted by the City Council of his hometown Fortín, Veracruz and deserving of a "PROCLAMATION" granted by the New York City Council in 2018.
